Markazu Ssaqafathi Ssunniyya an academic and cultural centrecommitted toscholarly research,teaching and charitable activities.MARKAZ established in 1978,located 14 kilometers east of calicut,is situated in a spectacular setting of scenic beauty.Karanthur is a small,friendly and safe village whose residents welcome to students, we attract students from various parts of India. There are 9000 students studying Quran, Hadith, Fiq’h, Arts, Science and Technology under different institutes, by which it has been developing to the shape of an Islamic University. Markazu ssaqafathi ssunniyya is one of the fewislamic educational bodies of its kind in the world and the largest socio-cultural and religious centre in India.We are pioneers in bringing different branches of study under a unique islamic canopy and still remain a top. Jamia Markazu Ssaqafathi Ssunniyya nurtures and matures individual spiritual growth with which students find better ways to spread Islamic values. Beyond the individual, it also strengthens the Muslims of India through its programmers of research and education. By studying and sharing information, it enables the Muslim community to remain strong. With its priceless contributions to the society the Jamia Markaz has earned an international reputation as the place Muslims turn to for religious and cultural assistance. As a theological institution it teaches, trains, supports and provides resources to religious leaders and students. Jamia Markaz is a unique kind of institution, which makes a significant difference in our troubles world. In 1926 the duty-bound Ulamals of Kerala formed an organization called SAMASTHA KERALA JAM'IYYATHUL ULAMA at a time when the muslim community encountered serious threats from a host of its own distracted members.Some of the blind followers of the west started questioning the islamic heritage.The stood for drastic changes in the most sensitive areas of islamic ideology.The launch of the so called Ulama organization created a new fervour among the Muslims. In 1978 the initative of a group of farsighted and intelligent leaders like SHEIKH ABOOBACKER AHMED,EK HASSAN MUSLIYAR.SAYED FASAL POOKOYA THANGAL cultimated in the establishment of MAKAZ.This was a milestone in the history of muslim India. Markaz brought into reality what the world had been thinking impossible.An ever widening gap hadbeen prevailing between the Ulamas and modern educated gentry.The attitude of these two classes were derisive and hostile to a great extent.But Markaz succeeded in brushing up the differences between them and brought them under a single umbrella of islamic unity so as to create an atmosphere beneficial for the community.while concentrating on islamic curricula Markaz promotes secular education as well. Markaz a shining star in the islamic educational firmament,nurtures around 9000 students.19 percent of them are orphans.There are more than 20 institutions under the Markaz

 Marlazu Ssaqafathi Ssunniyya Library is known or the breadth and depth of its materials germane to serious religious and acadamic enquiry.Morever,it offers you a wide range of learning resources to help you with your study and research.it contains more than 25,000 books and subscribes to a number of periodicals.This library's archives contain several rare collection of genuine and ancient manuscripts of Quran and other authentic volumes.Markaz attempts to garner more and more of such valuable antiques are still in progress.There is also a smaller holding of rare printed books.It is reputed to be one of the largest in islamic varsities.In short,the students,staff and Muslim public find support for thier literary,academic and religious pursuits at Markazu Ssaqafathi Ssunniyya Library.

Markaz guide net,a career and guidance center,is to help students explore the wide variety of options open to them,and to help the students make available plans about their study and and career.Markaz guide net helps them effectively put those plans in to action. A wide range of facilities,services and information are available including. Information on different occupations,   professional institutions,   employers and further study in India and overseas.Regular listings of current and future vacancies.A range of career information booklets published by a variety of universities,vocational institutes and government agencies.Programmes dealing with self-assessment, occupational choice,effective applications and interview techniques.  confidential and personal counselling to students who are unable to continue their study because of personal problems.

HEALTH SERVICE:

 The Health service is provided by a team of eminent doctors both in campus hospital and reserch centre.Students who are ill will be treated free of charge in campus hospital and punoor hospital and research centre.An ultra-sophisticated super speciality hospital is also under construction.A network of staff and students working as first-aiders,provides additional back-upfor the Health Service.

WELFARE SERVICES:
